Dear CCC,
Hey guys and gals, I am being slaughtered by Chess Tiger 14 on my PII 333 Mhz
machine with 96 Mb. of RAM. I do not use anti-computer techniques. Why do I
need a faster machine?
Ans. 1. It saves time. Time is money.
2. There is more to life than chess. ie Duke Nukem Forever, Unreal...etc.
3. I need to pay the electric utilities more money?
4. I can say that I have the biggest, meanest computer on the block.
5. My life is reflected in my possessions?
It is getting harder to justify the need for faster machines. The only reason
to buy is to stimulate the economy and enable the development of even faster and
smarter computers.
