AMD did get their DDR chipset out in time but some mobo makers skimped on the quality of the parts they put on the boards, thus the delays. AMD is in fact not interested in producing any chipsets at all, and now you got ALi, VIA and SiS (they seem to have a killer chipset: 735) besides AMD to choose from. NVIDIA is round the corner and maybe there will be a chipset with high speed L3 in the fall. Regards Dan Andersson
