The nps count is not working properly, so Shredder should be running at a
reasonable speed. I think you'll see that the search depth looks believeable.

Since you're running through the WinBoard adapter, the option of displaying more
than one line isn't possible. The reason for 7-8 lines is probably because
"Schroll main line" is enabled.

The fact that it is running proves that it's Shredder. Otherwise nothing will
happen because the adapters can't play chess :-)).

The adapters slow down the engine start slightly I think. It won't matter that
much in playing strength.

No workaround has been found yet to my knowledge.
