>Wow ! A chess program that considers playing games beneath its dignity ! >That's the best I've seen yet in human-like behavior. :-))) I am not the same opinion like Chris Amir. IMO you have to compete. No matter if the opponent is strong, weak, intelligent or stupid. >This is not CSTal. It's really CSFischer. Please, I guess you don't talk now about Fischers chess-qualities but yuo talk about something beside his chess-strength. Maybe you mix chris together with Fischer and forget that his program plays chess and not politics. BTW: fischer could be a good talking partner for Rolf Tueschen. They could both together talk about fascists and jews and 3rd reich ! :-))) >Say, Thoralf, what happened to the old SSDF practice of going to the >store, buying programs and playing with them, without asking anyone >anything ? Talking to programmers is not good for your mental health. > >Amir :-))) I never understood which reasons they had to choose which program they tested on which hardware. Although Mark sent them free-copies they did not test Hiarcs. They throwed out the Schaetzle + Bsteh Turbokit because it was not comercially available (although it WAS !). Maybe computerchess is not a healthy hobby anyway ?!?
