This is strongly suggested "between the lines".
"So the war ChessBits - Millenium is decided" or similar. This sentence strongly
suggests that the above mentioned development of Millenium is a consequence of
this "war", though it is not said explicitely.

This is at least the way, I have understood it and it seems, others too.

Well, Marcus has never had a problem with exaggerated modesty, has he ?
