Subject: CCT3 update: we have a TD!

Author: James Swafford

Date: 13:44:54 05/14/01

Friends,

Andy (Zek) has been helping organize the ICC end of this thing.
Tux will be the TD. I will be contacting him or Andy to see if
anything has changed.

About promoting the tournament to the general (ICC) public, Zek

I can add items to the ICC "help event", "help event2" and the event list
for BlitzIn 2 users. Send a new item to POTZY, or you can send it to me,
and I can relay it to POTZY.

So I will be doing that very soon!

About free accounts, Zek said:

Players go to http://www.chessclub.com/register to make a new account. Only
those using BlitzIn 2 will get the 7 day free trial. But I will make it a
30 day free trial, and make it so any interface program can be used. They
should email me, with their registered handle. (zek@chessclub.com)

PLEASE FORWARD ME YOUR ICC HANDLE ONCE REGISTERED SO I CAN UPDATE THE
PARTICIPANT LIST. We will have to establish an entry cutoff so that
Tux will have time to create pairings and organize things on the ICC
side. ENTRY DEADLINE IS MAY 20. I will forward the final list to
ICC on Monday, May 21.

So, the TD issue is resolved, everybody knows how to get the free
30 day accounts, and the participant list is shaping up. Looks like
we're in for a good tournament!

On a side note, my wife is giving me a lot of flak about giving up
Memorial Day weekend, but I'm holding strong (for now!). Please
brothers, pray for my strength to hold out two more weeks! :-)

Once again, the current list of participants:

Memorial day weekend (May 26, 27)
8 round swiss with the following start times and time control:
45 10, 8 round swiss.

10:00 15:00
12:20 17:20
