The Junior team and the Rebel team have been the pioneers [with staying power]
in arranging human verses computer matches. {Other chess programming systems may
have been earlier, but these keep at it, and have been performing against humans
at every possible opportunity -- even putting their money where their mouth is}
I thank both organizations profusely for their enormous contributions to our
understanding of where computers fit into the scheme of things as far as ability
verses the human population. Coincidentally, I have great respect for the heads
of both corporations.
