The position is tricky. The right evaluation symbols on the first posted moves
are (I think):

1. Kd2 g4 2. Ke1? gxh3? 3. Kf1? b5! 4. cxb5 c4 5. b6 c3 6. d6+ Kd7 7. b7 c2 8.
b8=Q c1=Q+ and White loses. Interesting that the first 5 plies in the line
contains 3 errors ... Pawn endings are frequently full of all kinds of finesses.

Better is 2. Ke2! = see Deiter's lines above.
Better is 2 ... g3! = see Deiter again.
Better is 3. Kf2! = which barely draws likes so

1. Kd2 g4 2. Ke1 gxh3 3. Kf2 Kd8 4. e6 Ke7 5. Kg1 b5 6. cxb5 c4 7. b6 c3 8.
b7 c2 9. b8=Q c1=Q+ 10. Kh2 Qd2+ 11. Kxh3 Qxd5 12. Kxh4 Kxe6
with a likely draw.

Jim
