Not only would the copy protection have to be removed, but it would have to add code to understand opening books. Right now, The King does not access the opening books directly; all of that is handled by the GUI, and the moves are then "forced" to the engines playing the game. So, while it COULD be done EVENTUALLY, it certainly cannot be done before the tournament. Not reliably, anyway.... Unfortunately, we need somebody who can manually play CM8000 at the tournament. But, I'll give the WinBoard forum a try anyway.... Thanks for the suggestion. jm
