I don't know about Gandalf. However I got some reports about pondering under CM 8000 for Yace. If I have interpreted correctly, Yace will not ponder under CM. Often the opponent will ponder, and therefore will have a significant advantage. I think, this is a serious deficiency of CM. CM should send either "hard" (= "dear WB engine, please ponder") or "easy" (= "Sorry, don't dare to ponder, and don't use any of my CPU time"). From studying the logs, I see, that CM does send neither of those. Perhaps John Merlino is reading this, and will be able to solve this issue for the future. Regards, Dieter
