Subject: Problem with Fritz Book Options in Friend and Handicap Modes

I'm surprised nobody has posted about this. Whenever I go into Friend or
Handicap mode, and then check Book Options, the bizarre number 922 is used for
Minimum games. I first noticed this because Fritz would start thinking out of
book after about the second or third move! This caused my games to repeat
exactly which got quite boring.

Once I found the problem I would set Minimum games to a much lower number.
However whenever I quit Fritz in Friend or Handicap mode, 922 would come up when
restarting the program. It's very annoying to have to remember to reset it every
time.

Actually this is another bug I think: If you exit in any mode, Fritz starts with
some default Book Options for that mode, even if you change them before exiting.
It seems to me that Book Options should stay set independently from mode, to the
user's preferences.

Steve Lopez of ChessBase USA confirmed this problem over the phone on his
machine, at least for Friend mode, only he got a number in the 300 range instead
of 922. He said he would pass it on to the programmers, but every update so far
has failed to fix this, including the May update.

Can anyone else confirm this problem?
