Yes, Fritz had to do nothing and only wait that Tao will destroy the position.

Fritz played only with the queen for 11 moves in a row 35-45
Qa2-a1-c3-d2-b2-a1-a3-b2-c3-b3-b2-d2

Tao decided after 44.Qb2 to put the queen at bad square(e5) so it could not
defend a5 after 45.Qd2 and I do not understand the reason for it but I admit
that I did not analyze the position for a long time.

 BTW I must say Vincent predicted the result already at move 2,

It was easy to guess the result even before move 1 only by hearing the names of
the programs.

I guess that I can score more than 50% in guessing results only by hearing the
names of the programs.

I guess for example that Tao is going to lose if the name of the program is
gambittiger and that it is going to win if the name of the program is Math.
