"At the end of this year there will be a new version of Shredder, running under the Shredder interface with its flexible windowing, triple-brain function and the UCI engine format, all of which will be improved and enhances in the ChessBase project. Shredder 6 will also run under the latest Fritz interface which will be included on the CD, giving you the best of both the Fritz and the Shredder worlds." This quote from the ChessBase page, says it all as far as I'm concerned. ChessBase, the 'Borg' of Chess companies, has assimulated Shredder, and most of us chess customer's as well.
