Let me guess about what happened in the game. Goliath believes it has the
advantage and waffles with its king or rook and burns one or two tempi and when
it goes for liquidation to an endgame finds its king cut off. Or it allows white
to push a b pawn to the seventh row thus locking blacks rook on b8.
