According to some information in the Internet, Fritz6 possibly is widely used in correspondence chess games. Shredder 5 is an excellent program for analyzing correspondence chess games, too. In general, I think that knowledge-based programs are better for correspondence chess games, if you want the programs to analyze the games for a long time. However, if you want to find best moves how to attack and checkmate an opponent's king, Gambit Tiger 2 might be an ideal tool for analyzing it.
