i have four computers in my home. one of these is my "gamer", that i play with, so i format often with this one. i found the file you are talking about under C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND. the file has initials LFN GK and is named Sulfnbk. since i format often, and i am constantly doing something with my gamer, i tried to open this file. mine is dated 4/23/99 when i try to open this file i get a window that says, "bad command line format". probably just a chipdud from another chiphead. dangit. darn, dangit, shoot, i was hoping for some fireworks, or maybe a genie, or maybe my hard drive would start spinning backwards and fly out of my gamer case and fly around the room---bust through the wall, all while playing the song "elvis is back". but this has gotten my curiosity up. so i will go research the widow that comes up when you try to open this file. this window does not look like a normal windows 98. this window is labeled "long filename backup" with an "ok" option. if this is not a normal window as part of the operating system file management, then that means the "kid" has got his exe file creating this window from your open selection. cooool. good luck
