Ok, the big weekend is almost upon us. I think all the logistics are finally worked out, the entry list is a good one (and will be even better if Tiger would play!), and everybody seems excited. Control is slowly shifting into the hands of the TD, Jim Deffely (jmedic). And we finally got Ferret!!! (very excited about that) As I turn my attention to the tablebases flying across my network, I'd like to ask everybody to just try to have fun. Let's not get caught up in silly controversy over the little stuff. Computer chess is fun, no? Let's keep it that way. There is still one nagging issue I'd like to help resolve: WE NEED A STANDBY OPERATOR TO AVOID THE BYE!!! If anybody out there can dust off a copy of GNU or some other program of greater strength, even if just for a portion of the tournament, please step up and help out. Now, PVS'ers to the left; MTD(f)'ers to the right. And play nice. :) -- James
