Okay I see your point. It doesn't find the right plan, as I suspected. If the problem is null move I think it should be fairly easy to detect this kind of pattern while in search and disable nullmove here. I have to try it out. It could get done in the evaluation function (mobility seriously restricted for this side here, so avoid nullmove next time we visit it) and then store a flag in hash. Carlos
