It was not meant to be offensive but to point out your mistakes.
I did not miss your point at all.

As I said, they _are_ compressed. Putting them in rar or zip formats
would not make them smaller, but possibly even a bit larger. Certainly
not 1/3 smaller. The emd format is much more efficient for tablebase
files than zip and rar are.

datacomp d:8192 sometablebasefile.emd

You don't need it btw. The decompression is built into Crafty.

Because you are still assuming they can be compressed, but they ARE
ALREADY COMPRESSED.
