Still, the position is good for white. >Shredder should take this opening out of its book. >hxg4 was ever played? sounds very suspect. > >Regards, >Miguel Well, 11...hxg4 has been played by Kasparov, Anand and many other GMs, although the 12...Bxd4 followup is virtually untested, it appears as analysis in Nunn's Chess Openings with a slight edge for White after 14.Nd5. But I don't think it was a good line for Shredder to follow, it's sort of like dumping a program into the Botvinnik Semi-Slav at move 14 with no further analysis, the position is too critical to analyze correctly in a short time.
