Having been victim of similar accusations when I started playing with Chester on ICC I know how you feel. It is sad when people react to any demonstration of above average quality with jealousy rather than congratulations. It reminds me of junior high rather than a group of adults. On the bright side, like any group of people there are a variety of personalities here, and you will find people that offer frienship and congratulations as well. We all have great attachment to our creations, and get frustrated when they lose. This frustration is greater when it comes out of no where. When Searcher appeared on ICC and started beating up on Chester, it was frustrating of course. I thought, where did this come from! Hehe. But after a few frustrated grumblings, I accepted that there was a new quality program to play with. I believe there is some history that we "newcomers" (new though I have been reading CCC for years) are not fully acquainted with, that leads to this climate of suspicion, so maybe there is some justification. However, it would be nice to get past it. Just stick around, talk to people, share ideas, etc. You will find that this place isn't all that bad. And with regards to your performance in the tournament, I say congratulations and hope to see more from your excellent program. - Steve
