I predict you'll love Bringer 1.9 then when it's ready. Gerrit has implemented
book tuning in the nicest way I have seen so far . Bringer automatically
generates a very tiny book tuning file with your changes- so everyone can create
multiple opening books ( like a fun gambit book ) and it will be easy to
exchange those little files between different users .

If you are looking for a better book for Bringer 1.8 my advice is to import the
data of some good games in your medium book ( like the 2600u.pgn-file that you
can download somewhere at Dann Corbit's site ; I imported the first 35 moves of
the games there into the book ; in the /pub/contrib directory there is also a
file bringerbok.zip to download which is exactly that with a slightly older
version of the 2600.pgn file ) . Also book tuning is possible and easy in
Bringer 1.8 ( look at manual ) although I admit it isn't very comfortable to use
.
