I remember this position too, because EVERYONE was stunned. Everyone was expecting Nd5. I tried to get it repeated in several engines of mine. None of them played it. Deep Shredder, even after 3,000,000,000 nodes, never considered a single move expect Nd5. (Which is kind of boring, I think.) However when I move as Ferret did, it almost doubles the score for immediatly. In other words, within 1 second it realizes it's the better move. However never even thinks of it. This would probably be ONE of the problems in computer chess that needs solving. Slate
