The debate about whether playing Chessmaster personalities against each other can yield meaningful results has motivated me to play some long tournaments: CM Mg1 versus Crafty 17.14 40/40 time control- 69.5-30.5 CM Fun versus Crafty 17.14 40/40 - 35-29 (so far) CM Utzinger versus Crafty 17.14 40/40 16.5-8.5 (so far) I want to follow those games with the same 100 game sets between the personalities...and maybe follow that with some games against other programs ... to see if there is a significant difference.. I did play 100 games between mg1 and fun at game in 60...mg1 won 50.5 to 49.5... I will replay at 40/40, just to be consistent... I am of the opinion that playing CM personalities against each other does not really tell us much...but I think we need to find out for sure...
