Say, if you would offer him 1 million dollars I bet he would sell it to you no matter what. 100 hundred thousand would do the trick, also. It is not clear if 10 thousand are enough; there we go into a shadowy area. Clearly one thousand are not. As much as he knows nobody will offer even those paltry 1 thousand, he stay adamant waiting, perhaps, a better ocasion.
