Yes, I watch matches every day that start as a 100% win after 10 games and end
up at just 55% after a lot of games.

I ask for more games when my program loses 0.5-2.5, and I also ask for more
games when it is the opposite.

That's one of the very first lessons that should be taught to chess players:
statistics and margin of error.

As Bob says, the Deep Junior - Deep Fritz match should have opened the eyes of
everybody here, but for some reason it did not.

Now it is true that given the score of Deep Fritz and Junior 5 against CM8000, I
can have good hopes for Chess Tiger 14, but it's really too early to say
anything else. I mean that what has been said could have been said without
looking at the current 0.5-2.5 score, because this score carries almost NO
information with it.
