I do not know it.

I believe that in most of the cases when version x+1 beats version x version x+1
is better.

Not always but in most of the cases.

I cannot be sure that the best program against Deep fritz is the better program
so you can say by the same logic that 20 games of Deep shredder against Deep
Fritz and 20 ganmes of Shredder5 against Deep Fritz are useless in comparing
between Deep shredder and Shredder5.
