Hi Chris,
While that's true the trouble is since all the patches or upgrades
have been called Fritz 6.eng you can't keep them all in the same directory.
Therefore you require to make different folders for each engine, also in this
case since they are called the same you can never play them against each other
in an engine match without two pc's.
Also If I load the previous eng all the about does is give me the interface date
not the engine date, which was why I modified mine by letter a, b, c etc.
Naturally it would help were chessbase to actually post what the differences are
or add a txt file to each engine.
