I have the DOS-version that has a very very nice interface, nice piece-set and looks like ChessMachine screen or Rebel-like-screen with scrolling main-lines. The program plays positional and is strong. It can e.g. easily win against Fritz5. If you want to know how I can post you some games here ! I don't know anything about the LINUX version. But the dos version is worth it's money. I am sure if the playingstrength and features develop this further like they have done over the versions before, than DIEP will be a good sold professional program at least next year. I am no Diep expert. Lets say I am a confident "customer". If you need a good program for analysis, take diep. Examples ?? Best wishes, ...
