Generous how? Letting us play on their server for a limited time to get
publicity and more customers?

There's plenty of hospitality at FICS.

You can get a permanent account just as easy on FICS.

Our own TD. Would that be a problem? It's mostly pairing which could be done by
a program.

Maybe it is. I'm not sure I agree. However, I can't see how that pertains to a
computer tournament.

Indeed it did. It was a very entertaining tournament, thanks for arranging it.

What?

Well, ICC is OK, for all I care, as long as I get a free temporary account
whenever CCTx is happening. But I still don't see why it couldn't just as easy
be FICS.

It's just the principle. IMO everybody on ICC might as well be on a free server,
and everything would be the same except it would be free. It doesn't especially
have to be FICS. Just not a commercial server. And FICS is the best
non-commercial server IMO.
