There are some positions where the newer version plays definitly other/better moves. But in generell it´s right, S5.32 won´t blow away DS, of course not (nobody did!). An advantage of the Shredder-Native in relation to the UCI-Version is the better position-learning, book using and better analysing support under Fritz. For details have a look at css 3-01.
