Principally yes, I have read already some articles about programming the Winboard interface, but it's much work, especially when one looks after all the error conditions which are possible in a protocol. My experiences with connection protocols are bad. RDCHESS has already an Auto232 serial interface, but its tested and works only against itself (another RDCHESS engine). I tried once an auto232 connection to Fritz 6, the protocol states get asynchronously after 1 or 2 plies and the connection hangs up.
