I don't really understand the sense of this semi-professional category anyway
but SOS was definitely at least semi-professional in 2000 following the
definitions on the Website .

I like your idea very much . And the "Freeware" ( aka Amateur ) entries should
pay a _much_ lower entry fee ; I'd put privateware in the same category . I'd
prefer to keep the original names though .

1.) Amateur
2.) Semi-Professional
3.) Professional
Talking about prices :

Currently the entry fees are a rip-off for the amateurs IMHO .

Let's calculate :

a.) The amateur has to pay 100 $ entry fee
b.) He has to take care of the hardware himself !
c.) It's one week of holidays which has to be taken .
d.) He has to pay all expenses himself .

That's easily a few hundred dollars altogether . Do the organizers really have
costs of 100 $ for the entry that have to be covered ? I seriously doubt that .

And it's not even the real thing it seems : another WMCCC - shouldn't there be a
WCCC this year ?
