Hi all,

after 4 overtime games, Deep Fritz finally won my latest tournament, the Masters
2001 (40/40 on two PIII-550, 256 MB), by edging Chess Tiger 14.0 7.5:6.5. Prior
to the decisive win in the final game, both programs scored a drawing streak of
6 - a new SCCS record -, including the first ever draw by the 50 move rule on my
site.

This win emphasizes the Masters and its time control as Fritz' home court after
5.16 won the 1999 premiere, followed by 6.0a last year.
Deep Fritz is also the first to defeat both Chess Tiger and Gambit Tiger in the
same tournament.

In my ranking list, DF improves to #6 whereas CT14 hangs on to the #1 spot.

You can get the full tournament score and PGN, as usual, on http://sccs.shep.de

My next tournament, the Summer Cup (90/game), starts no later than next week.
For the first time, it will feature Junior 7 and Triple Brain Shredder.
