Pseudolegal is ok as long nothing fishy is going on, most commonly the program is in check (depends on your q-search I figure). Mobility based on pawn positions would have to many exceptions to be reliable. Mobility is not such a hot ticket nowardays. Better try to figure out the 'scope' of your pieces, if they have useful squares where they attack/block/whatever or if the pieces are stuck and can do nothing useful.
