Chess Tiger 14 has also shown some impressively fast mate announcements
recently, so I chose it to compare with your Chessmaster 6000 results, using an
P3/700 with 24 MB Hash. But except in the 2nd position, CM is (much) better
here... (I didn't test the last two very long mates). CM's higher selectivity
setting - 10 isn't the standard IIRC? - seems to work fine for this type of
positions.
