I've fixed the few bugs that were reported during the
two-month beta test period for CDB, and have uploaded
the final 1.0 release version to my home page:

If you're running the beta version and it's working
fine for you, you don't need to go through the hassle
of downloading the new version. This version is also
fully compatible with the beta.

CDB, for those who haven't seen it, is a positional
chess database program that reads PGN, EPD, and
several popular proprietary database formats and
constructs databases of distinct positions and game
information. CDB interfaces with Crafty for continuous
commentary and for analysis of games and positions.
Game statistics, Crafty scores, and variations are
stored in the database along with commentary. Some
distinctive capabilities of CDB include flash cards,
support for nonstandard "wild" chess games, and a
customizable user interface. CDB works well as a
PGN browser and sanitization tool.

CDB runs under Windows 95/98/NT and comes with full
context-sensitive on-line help. A screen shot of CDB in
action along with a pile of documentation is also
available on my Web page.
