Hi Eelco I followed up on your post, do you think you could give greater detail
on Bram Mourik's line?
I believe after 33.Nc3..Ba4!? may only draw. Interesting though as I looked at
33.Nc3..exd5 34.Bd1..Ba4! Which will lead to the win of the d4 pawn. But the
game still appears drawish.
Any GM's or IM's here care to comment?
I do agree that retreating the N back to a5 is non-productive, and only helps GT
2.0. Funny, the only programms that consider 34..Ba4! are GT 2.0 Tiger 14
and Junior 6 if given enough time. However _no_ programm will consider 33.Ba4 as
it's far too complex. But 34..Ba4 is far less difficult, but still most
programms go awry with 34..Na5?! Tsk-Tsk!;-)
