Yes, this is my opinion also BTW, but it is quite subjective. In general play, I
saw no evidence that MCP8 was better than MCP7.1 other than it was a bit calmer.
_If_ it also has more knowledge, this knowledge was insufficient to raise the
bar significantly, or it merely served to counterbalance the loss in speed it
caused. In any case MCP7.1 is a more entertaining opponent, and until Tiger
Gambit, was the king of loonies (albeit a very strong one). :-)
One thing that must be considered is the opening book issue. It will be
important, in order to properly evaluate the corresponding strength, to see when
they leave book, and in what shape. MCP8 should be at a considerable
disadvantage in this regard. Look forward to the games!
