If don't mind DOS, then Rebel Decade is a very strong, and useful program, that
has most of your requested features. Also, check www.gambit-soft.com - I think
there is a link on this page for downloadable freeware from all over.

Pay a little money, and you have many choices most of the comercial programs are
available from, www.icdchess.com - My favorite is Fritz6 www.chessbase.com (or
Junior, or Tiger, or whatever engine in the Fritz Gui), because it has a ton of
features, including 303,056 games, the entertaining talk feature, and even
auto-saves your games for you. Rebel-Tiger - www.rebel.nl/edindex.htm is the
best bet, if you want to connect to an Internet chess server, and the roar of
the Lion is not to be missed:). If you have a lot of extra money, and you can
find it anywhere, than the T.A.S.C. R-30 with the SB-30 (smart-board 30), is the
best chess studying set-up there is! I love having those L.E.D.s flashing the
programs move, and studying chess with the beautiful wooden chess pieces, on a
very nicely designed board. Maybe the DGT board is as good in many ways, but
then you have to listen to the program moves on the computer's speakers (no
L.E.D.s), to here the moves the software is making, or look often at the
computer monitor. On the other hand, you can plug this board into most of the
top software programs being sold today. With Smart-board, your limited by the
driver's to Chessica, and maybe 2 or 3 other older programs.
