Dr. John Nunn (GM and the youngest Math PhD in Oxford's history) would fit the
requirements to a T, apart from the fact that he can hardly be a student. On the
other hand, if I recall correctly, Hsu was once asked whether to design a super
chess computer he thought it more important to be a strong chess player or a
strong programmer. He opted for the latter.
