It would be interesting to make a tournament with the top
programs of the last few years on the same (modern) hardware.
It should be shufflechess to avoid the influence of the books.
To find out "real" improvements you can switch off the tablesbases
of the newer programs and you can set an upper limit for the
hashtables.

Is there anybody who is interested in doing that?
