Also, it doesn't matter.  People who would give someone crap because they've
never been best in the world are full of crap.  You don't have to be best to be
good at something.

Is Crafty best in the world?  It would be hard to make that argument.  But if
I'm going to deal with Crafty at a major tournament, I know that on any given
day, Crafty on sensible hardware can beat anything, and any given day seems to
come up quite a bit.  Also, because of the architectural choices Bob has made,
he can run on a wide variety of hardware, and because of the contacts he has
made because he gives hist stuff away for free and is helpful to literally
everybody, he's apt to be running on hardware that's a few notches above
sensible.
