Correcting myself:

4 x 500 vs 8 x 1000 is 4 times faster, not two.

Thats a little over a ply. (gee, big difference considering how
deep it goes)

I don't doubt that Frans Morsch will be working hard to get it
to play as good as possible vs. a human, but I doubt it will
be enough.

The 2000 NK result must have been a lesson, but Frans is a professional
and must no doubt have anticipated it. The games were about marketing,
after all.

For Frans the chance of winning his 'own' national championships
must have been a huge opportunity and the dream of every chessplayer.
I think that he will have done the best he could back then.

The chance of playing for the world championship is even better,
but there's only so much you can do. Last time it wasn't enough.

I wonder if anyone here who knows Frans personally or has met him
at CC events know how he feels about this, the NK results and the
play of Fritz vs humans.

He's without a doubt one of the best in his field, so there's always
a chance he suprises us, but I've got the feeling he would have done
that already.
