CM8k can't be setup to play directly on a chess server normally, though I wonder
if the Ebbi drivers can't be used to this end. It is used to allow Chessbase
programs to play directly on the servers, but as far as I know, it isn't the
Fritz protocol that is key but the auto232 protocol, so perhaps that is a
solution.

As far as Tiger is concerned, it depends on the program you are using. Both
Rebel-Tiger and Chess Assistant 6 allow you to set up the engine to play
directly on the servers from the program, so it should be relatively easy, but
as to the CB version, you'll definitely need to use the Ebbi driver.
Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about the Ebbi driver other than it works
and there are quite a few CB programs on ICC playing automatically through it.
No doubt more info could be found on Frank Quisinsky's pages.
