Dear CCC,

Mr. Burgess meant well.  His main argument was that computer chess programs and
hardware are beating most humans and even chess afficionados like himself.  He
used a bit too much journalistic license but the audience of the article was
probably entertained.  Journalism is mainly for entertainment purposes only.
Most people don't want to be confused with critical thinking.

Mr. Villegas would have given us a better and more accurate article.  He would
have taken longer to lose to the silicon beast than did Mr. Burgess--but not by
much.

If you are here at CCC then you are definitely not "most people".
