On the other hand, we also benefit from the professional programmers.
The hobby programmers simply cannot dedicate the time that the professionals
can, and cannot create all of the features of a full commercial product.

If they must keep information back to keep their competitive edge, I understand
that.  It would be nice for them to share, of course.

If all the commercial programmers divulge all of their professional secrets,
probably some of  the amateur programs could soon play as well as the
professional ones.  Then, they might lose sales and have problems.  Will we
really like that situation?  (Not that it is sure to happen, but it could be
possible).

At any rate, I think sharing is better.  That's why I want to stay on that side
of the fence.  But the professional programmers clearly benefit us as well.
