i think when a large number of games are played; the so called "fantastic" programmes turn out to be not that "fantastic" and the dull donkeys are turn out to be a lot niftier than expected. although i made most fun of chessmaster when it was down i must say i am pleasantly surprised. i wonder how it would do on the strongest settings with a good quality opening book, book learning and endgame access. perhaps the "king" should join chessbase in order to realise its full potential. rajen
