Because it's a stupid copy protection that annoys the honest buyer and
is easy game for anyone who intends to crack the program.

I have about two dozen commercial chess programs and simply hate to be
forced to play "disc jockey" all the time. (See below.)

I have yet to see a CD refill that actually works (Fritz and MChess can
also easily be fooled).

I definitely hope so! And hopefully it will be like Rebel 9 which does
not need refills and still is reasonably safe from being "cracked".
