I think the Chesspartner/Rebel Tiger WinBoard adapter is even a better alternative as it is well-known to be friendly to the WinBoard engines and not to weaken them . And think of ERT : automated matches against the Tigers on one computer ( without any need for auto232 ) should very well be possible . In fact I have seen WITH MY OWN EYES some guy even connect Chessmaster8000 to ICC and play some games using the Chesspartner/Rebel Tiger interface and the Chesspartner opening book . Unfortunately as it was late at night and I had a few beers already I have forgotten the name of the culprit . pete
